About NeighborHaus

NeighborHaus is a small magazine of stories about the things people actually live with: the vacuum, the power bank, the standing desk that went up and never came down. Each story is set on Maple Lane, a fictional street, and each one sits next to the product's real Amazon price and its history.

Our Story

NeighborHaus started as a price tracker: it watches Amazon's catalog and notes when a price really drops. A list of prices tells you what something costs. It doesn't tell you what the thing is like to live with, or whether you need it. So now every product gets a story, and the price history comes along as the fine print.

How the stories work

  • The neighbors are fiction. Maple Lane, its residents, Admiral Biscuit the cat and Brenda the raccoon are made up. Any resemblance to your street is your street's problem.
  • The products and prices are real. Every story is about a real product, and its page shows the real Amazon price, when it was checked, and its price history.
  • Written with AI, checked automatically. Each story is drafted with AI from the product's listed features and specifications only, never from reviews or ratings. Automated checks reject a story that claims something the listing doesn't say, quotes a price, sounds like a customer review, or repeats another story. Stories that fail aren't published, and their pages keep the classic layout.
  • No one tested anything. The characters react to what the listing says. They don't report weeks of use or measured results, because nobody on Maple Lane exists to measure them.
  • The commission never changes a story. We earn from qualifying purchases, and every product gets a story whether or not anyone buys it.
