# Yamaha CD-C603 Deal Analysis **Selling Point:** You're saving $104 (18% off) on a versatile 5-disc changer that bridges vintage CD listening with modern USB playback, making it ideal for anyone with an existing CD collection who wants added convenience. **Trade-offs:** This is a niche product in 2024—CD players have largely become obsolete, limiting resale value and long-term relevance. The USB playback tops out at 96kHz/24bit, which is respectable but not cutting-edge for audiophiles. You'll also need RCA or optical inputs on your amplifier to use it. **Verdict:** **Pass for most people.** Only buy if you actively use CDs, lack built-in USB/streaming on your current system, and value this specific feature set. For general music needs, a modern streaming service or standalone DAC/player would be more practical and future-proof.
