# ecobee Smart Video Doorbell Deal Analysis **Selling Point:** You're saving $40 (25% off) on a well-reviewed doorbell with intelligent detection features and full HD video, making it a solid mid-range option for home security. **Trade-offs:** This is a wired-only model, so installation requires existing doorbell wiring or professional help; it also lacks some premium features like 4K video or advanced AI that pricier competitors offer, and you'll need an ecobee subscription for cloud video storage beyond basic alerts. **Verdict:** **Buy** if you have existing doorbell wiring and want reliable, smart detection without premium pricing; **Pass** if you prefer wireless installation or need 4K video quality.
